Flower conditioning begins in one area of the Staalduinen plant where containers are rapidly filled with a special combination of water and floral preservative solution. For optimal conditioning, the mixture is warmed to room temperature before use.
Storing tropical varieties such as Orchids, anthuriums, ginger and other tropical flowers, requires strict temperatures. We replicate their tropical origins in an "Orchid" or warm cooler, keeping them at 50°F at all times.
In the Staalduinen large open stock cooler, surrounded with an array of different varieties of cut flowers and greens, Plant Personnel carefully fill orders that are to be packed and shipped that day. Careful attention is paid to detail and quality to ensure that your order is filled accurately.
Staalduinen also uses an open cooler, a large holding cooler where newly arrived products are held until they are ready for distribution. Ozone generators installed throughout this area purify the air and keep flowers in an environment mirroring pre-cut conditions.
